FROM THE CEO

Rob Anderson

Well it's now one month in the role and I'm starting to get a sense of both the scope of our organisation as well as the exciting opportunities that lay ahead.

From the outset I wish to pay tribute to the outstanding contribution of Max Kelleher the legacy of which sees Wheelchair Sports Victoria with a tremendous opportunity to maximise its considerable potential.   Along with the leadership of present and past Board Members, Max has ensured that our organisation is both financially sound and has the capacity to address its responsibility to members, partners and the wider community.

Additionally, I feel very fortunate to have inherited a staff that I believe not only have the professional skills and ability to take on future challenges but who also have the passion and commitment necessary to make a meaningful difference.

The sporting landscape in this country continues to change and it is critical to the long term viability of our organization that we remain relevant to all stakeholders.  Therefore, whilst there is a need to recognise where we have come from, there is an imperative to consider where we are going.   So to this end, we shall, with the support of the Victorian Government, undertake a review of all elements of WSV with the view to assessing the long-term strategic direction.

Finally, I thank everyone for making me feel welcome and look forward to working with you all to ensure our future success.
