Membership benefits
Single Membership
A "Single Membership" is open to individuals with a disability that actively participate in a sport and/ or recreation program or event and non-active people with a disability.
- Receive regular communication from WSV in the form of the "Wheel-E News" monthly e-newsletter distribution and phone calls regarding upcoming programs and events
- Receive access to funding for sport and recreation opportunities pending approval of grant eligibility criteria
- Receive subsidies for various sports competitions, events and coaching programs pending approval of grant eligibility criteria
- Access to quality advice and support from qualified professionals within the disability and sports sector
- Increase awareness of upcoming grant opportunities, competitions and training programs
- The opportunity to engage with other people with a disability and forge social and professional networks
- Develop friendships by attending various social sporting programs and events
- Increased awareness of upcoming employment opportunities within the organisation
- Receive a WSV member pack containing all information about the services of the organisation
- Access to attend workshops and training courses developed or run through WSV specifically for members for free or at special discounted price for members (e.g. Mind Fitness Program)
- The opportunity to attend coaching courses
- The opportunity to become involved as a Committee Member in your respective sport
Associate Single Membership
An "Associate Single Membership" is available to individuals without a disability in the following areas: coaching, volunteering and the general community.
- Become actively involved as either a coach, official or volunteer
- Attend workshops and training courses developed or run through WSV specifically for members for free or at a special discounted price for members (e.g. Mind Fitness Program)
- The opportunity to attend coaching courses
- Receive a monthly "Wheel-E News" e-newsletter
- Receive a WSV member pack including information about all the services of the organisation
- Establish an understanding of people with a physical disability
- The opportunity to become involved as a Committee Member in your respective sport
Associate Organisation Membership
An "Associate Organisation Membership" is available to all disability sport and recreation providers, hospitals, schools, tertiary institutions and other service organisations.
- Become actively involved as either a coach, official or volunteer
- Access to attend workshops and training courses developed or run through WSV specifically for members for free or at a special discounted price for members (e.g. Mind Fitness Program)
- The opportunity to attend coaching courses
- Receive a monthly "Wheel-E News" e-newsletter
- Receive a WSV member pack including information about all the services of the organisation
- Establish an understanding of people with a physical disability
- The opportunity to become involved as a Committee Member in your respective sport
