Wheelchair Sports Victoria (WSV) is a Public Benevolent Institution, working as a registered charity to provide sport and recreational opportunities for people with disabilities.
Donations raised through our Direct Marketing Department account for up to 85% of our total operating budget and as such regular donors are the lifeblood of our organisation.
As funds are always severely limited, our telemarketers are working harder than ever seeking sponsorship from business and residential communities.
Donations to Wheelchair Sports Victoria are tax deductible and receipts issued. Please ensure we have your correct details when donations are made.
Wheelchair Sports Victoria is registered with Consumer Affairs, in accordance with the Fund Raising Act 2004, our allocated permit number is 10566.
Current Donation Opportunities
2010 Junior Summer Camp
A favourite on the Wheelchair Sports Victoria Sports calendar is the fun filled, action packed Junior Summer Sports Camp. Held across the weekend of the 12th-14th of November, this year's camp will attract approximately 40 children with disabilities.
Camp Aims
- Increase participation of children with a disability in sport and recreation
- Educate and promote the benefits of living a healthy and active lifestyle
- Build self confidence, self esteem and independence
Cost
The cost of participation is $180 for each child, which includes:
- Camp pack (t-shirt, can, sunscreen, etc)
- All sport and recreational activities
- Accomodation
- Transport
- All meals
- Facility Hire
