Brief overview of WSV

Wheelchair Sports Victoria (WSV) is the leading provider in sport and recreation for people with a physical disability throughout Victoria. Formed in 1963, WSV has over 900 members and provides an extensive range of sport and recreation opportunities, some of which include: basketball, athletics, swimming, rugby, tennis, handcycling, lawn bowls and shooting. A charitable organization, WSV is a State Sporting Association affiliated with both International & National wheelchair sporting organisations, particularly Wheelchair Sports Australia.

The majority of our members include: spinal cord injury (paraplegia & quadriplegia), lower limb amputees, spina bifida, cerebral palsy and various other physical conditions affecting mobility. Whilst WSV is an extremely community conscious organization, WSV has been successful in producing a number of World and Paralympic champions.
